Senior Teaching Associate
Dr. Karen E. Furlong is a Senior Teaching Associate with the Department of Nursing and Health Sciences, University of New Brunswick (UNB), Canada. In 2014, Karen completed her doctoral program in Education Studies at UNB. Her research focused on education and training initiatives for registered nurses who are facing technological integration within hospital settings. Other informatics-related activities include: President of the New Brunswick Nursing Informatics Group; President, the Canadian Nursing Informatics Association; and, a member of the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing Digital Health Nursing Faculty Peer Network. These professional activities are closely aligned with Karen’s interest in supporting faculty with the integration of informatics content into nursing curricula.
