Abstract: When small structural changes are made in how learners work together, better outcomes are generated. Liberating structures are being used to promote inclusion and participation in the health informatics classroom. Examples of five successful liberating structures in the health informatics classroom will be provided: 1) Appreciative Interviews, 2) 1-2-4-All, 3) User Experience Fishbowl, 4) Shift and Share, and 5) The Matrix.
