Undergraduate Education: The Final Frontier for Health Informatics Education?

11:15 AM–11:30 AM Jun 20, 2018

Crescent AB, 16th Floor

Description

Abstract: We developed an upper-level undergraduate course for health-related majors that provided an introduction to health informatics. Students learned the application of informatics skills and knowledge to health-related problems. Application activities will include simple data analysis and visualization of clinical data, answering clinical questions using information retrieval methods, and performing simple association analysis of gene variants and disease.
